Owen Daniel Brearley Thomas, 21, of Allentown, died Monday, April 26, 2010, at his off campus college residence in Philadelphia. Born in Allentown, September 30, 1988, Owen was the son of Rev. Thomas N. Thomas and Rev. Kathy Brearley of Allentown. He was a student at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the Parkland High School, Class of 2007. Owen was a gifted athlete and played football for Penn. He was a member of Union UCC, Neffs.
Survivors: Parents; bothers, Jeremiah of Uniontown, Matthew of Allentown, Morgan of East Stroudsburg; paternal grandmother, Doratha Thomas of Richmond, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Hazel & Michael Brearley of Aylesbury, Bucks, UK; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, PA. Family and friends may call after 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and Monday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church.
