Memorial Rites For Myrtle Neal Thursday
A public memorial service for Mrs. Myrtle L. Neal, 94 wil be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ with Rev. Claude Wood officiating. The service will follow a private committal service to be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Atlantic Cemetery. Mrs. Neal a former resident of 107 West Ninth, died Monday afternoon at Heritage House.
The daughter of Robert Anderson and Virginia Johnson Berry, she was born south of Marne Oct 9, 1884 and lived most of her life in Atlantic. She was married to Raymond Neal Feb. 14, 1906 in Atlantic and was a member of the United Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Donald (Zeta) Alexander of LaHabra, Calif., and Mrs. Janet Linke of Atlantic; a grandson, Donald D. Linke of Eliot, Maine; two great grandchildren, Adam David Linke and Samantha Alexis Linke; a sister, Zeta Miller of Minneapolis, Minn., and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1958; her parents; four sisters, Alta Berry, Grace Barnard, Ina Allen and Eva Collier and a brother, Ora Berry.
