Hello, James L and Nancy Collins Wilson are my 3rd Great Grandparents. While James died in 1868, I have found Nancy in the 1870 and 1880 Census of Wirt County and that shows me that she could not have died in 1868 that most family trees show.

I have a book called Wilson Pepper Genealogy which lists a widow named Nancy Wilson marrying a Sylvester Wilson on Nov 15 1884 in Marion Co, WV. Nancy's daughter Martha married a Jasper Wilson who was the son of Sylvester Wilson.

So basically Nancy married her son-in-law's father and then died on Aug 1 1892. The book is the only source for the information I have stated in this paragraph.

It also states that she is buried in the Wilson Cemetery in Marion Co but I can find nothing else that supports this fact. Thank you for reading this. I just wanted to try to correct Nancy's death date. Carol Lynch
