Jeanette Marie (Zilke) Lacey Jeanette Marie Lacey, 74, of Austin passed away peacefully at home with family present on Monday, August 6. Born in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. Jeanette was the daughter of Alexander and Mary (Marie Bukas) Zilke. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Youngstown, Ohio. She married Howard Wayne Lacey in 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Youngstown, Ohio. Jeanette was active in Lutheran churches in each of the cities where they lived, particularly with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and quilting. Mrs. Lacey has two great loves. First was the love of her personal Savior, Jesus Christ. Also sharing the good news of Jesus with family. Second, her love of her family, her husband, children, and grandchildren. After graduating from Valparaiso University, Jeanette was a registered technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Jeanette's ministry was quilting, sewing, weaving, and making crosses and ornaments (both religious and secular) from wood. Her favorite cross was the Hold on to Cross which she never sold; she only gave them away. Jeanette is survived by Howard, her husband of 53 years, sons Stephen and wife Jo Ann of Lakeway, TX, Michael and wife Cathy of Metairie, LA, David and wife Deborah of Fort Collins, CO, and daughter Sharon and husband Pierre Mawet of Lewisville, TX .
