Joseph A. Hall Sr., 70, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Wall, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at his home.
Joseph was born in Neptune and a lifelong resident of Wall before moving to Spring Hill, Fla. five years ago.
He graduated from Manasquan High School.
Joseph was an Army veteran in Korea and also a 15 year reservist of the U.S. Air Force.
He was the owner and operator of Joseph A. Hall Masonry for over 45 years, working throughout the shore area.
He was past president of the Wall Lion's Club, and an avid N.Y. Yankee and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed to work around his house and maintaining his backyard garden.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne, in 2006; two brothers, Francis Roy Hall and Robert Hall; and two sisters, Elizabeth Hoffman and Margarite Ferris.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Hall of Spring Hill; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. Hall Jr. and his wife Peg of Wall; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Laura and Keith St. John of Trinity, Fla., and Jennifer and Allan Snapp of Islamorada, Fla. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Keith, Brittany, Kristen, Joseph, Meghan, Kyle and Tyler.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at St. Rose Church, Belmar. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall.
