COLVIN

Mrs. Dollie Colvin, 79, a long-time resident of 221 Oak Street, died in an Andalusia hospital Saturday morning, January 11. Mrs. Colvin had been in declining health for approximately two years. Born and reared in Covington County, Mrs. Colvin was married to the late James Henry Colvin of Harmony. Mr. Colvin died May 15, 1928. Before Mrs. Colvin’s health failed, she was an active member of the Sunshine Club.

Survivors include one son, Henry M. Colvin, Montgomery; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Bush, Sanford; Mrs. Bonnie Mae Wiggins, Andalusia; and Mrs. Fannie Lou Anthony, Glendale, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lula Colvin, Route 5, Andalusia.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, January 12, from the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev, Woodrow Plant and Rev. Edwin Patterson, officiating. Music was by the church choir, accompanied by Rev. Patterson. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers were Ed Cawthon, Buck Latham,Gene Worley, Harry Bush, Max Bush, and Donnie Hugh Bush.
