Mr. Browning was an employee of the pipe-fitters department of the Standard Oil company refinery, where he had been employed for the past 20 years.
He was born in East Baton Rouge Parish, the son of Andrew Browning and the late Rose Bentley Browning.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Mire Browning; a son, Billy, and two daughters, Joan and May Theresa Browning, his father, Andrew Browning; five brothers, A.A., Frank, Hillary, Clarence and Joe Browning; and three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Chaney and Mrs. Elmo Carmena of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Joseph Rozas of Eunice.
