Mrs. Reba Babcock Hayner died early this morning at a Madison hospital, whither she was taken about six weeks ago where medical aid and careful nursing was available in the hope of bringing relief from the ailment that has made her poorly in health for about two years. Her age was 58 years, 5 months and 2 days. Reba Babcok, daughter of C. R. and Sarah Babcock, was born July 15, 1873 in this village and Sun Prairie has been her home practically all her life. She received her education in our public schools graduating with the class of 1893. She was a member of the Congregational Church and active in church work for several years. On June 22, 1905 she was united in marriage to R. E. Hayner and to this union was born a son, Dudley, who died May 21, 1921and a daughter, Ruth, who with the husband and father survive to cherish her memory. She also leaves two nephews, Dr. Casper A. Cobb and Dr. Lyle B. Cobb, both of Sun Prairie. The remains were brought to the Crosse and Scheideler undertaking parlors. Private funeral services will be conducted at the home of Dr. L. B. Cobb, Saturday afternoon at 2:00, Rev. L. J. Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in the village cemetery.
