She was a member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ of rural Dawson, NE. She served as an officer in the Women's Guild. After her husband died she moved to Sabetha, KS in 1977.
She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughter. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, George; one daughter, Nelda; her parents; 2 brothers, Freddie and Alvy Beer; two sisters, Ruth Arick and Normalee Beer.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose (Raymond) Ruzicka of Blair, NE, Glenda (Bill) Richardson of Alexandria, MN; two sons, Melvin Edelman and Duey (Kay) Edleman, both of Sabetha, KS; 10 Grandchildren,) five great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; one sister, Helen Feek, Sabetha and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Sabetha Cemetery. Casket bearers are Curt Boren, Mark Boren, Graham Edelman, Morey Edelman, Myron Edelman, Steve Richardson and Randy Ruzicka. A visitation will be Sunday September 19, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha, KS. Memorials maybe made to the Apostolic Christian Home or the charity of donors choice.
