Descendent of Thomas Cox who came to America from England in 1681, father also built the first 2 stone houses and first brick house in Franklin in 1800. Gilbert was Twp. trustee, youngest of 12. Leaves sister Letta Kelly, 92 of Kinney, IL widow and children Mrs. John Q. Baker of Middletown, Gov. James Middleton Cox, Scott and John of Dayton, William of FL, Charles of Detroit and Mrs. William Roscopt of Dayton. Buried Fairmount. PCN, LL
