Services for Candelario Ortiz Sr., 46, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Manuel Brito officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.
He died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002.
He was born Dec. 23, 1955, in Lubbock and attended school in Abernathy. He married Sylvia Cruz on Sept. 14, 1972, in Lubbock. He worked for Crestview Elementary School for 12 1/2 years. He was a lifelong resident of the Lubbock area. He was a Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Candelario Jr. of Lubbock; three daughters, Josie Banks of Houston, and Vicky and Kali Ortiz, both of Lubbock; two brothers, Robert and Junior, both of Post; a sister, Susie Gomez of Post; and two grandchildren.
