She was born in Greenfield Township on August 21, 1908, daughter of the late Ora and Goldie Prindle Pierce.
She moved to Lawrence Park from North East 14 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North East, where she was a member of the church's Rose Point Circle. She was also a member of Salvation Army Golden Agers.
She and her husband, Norman Bissell, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 3.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dayton and Milton Pierce.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, Charles and Ralph Bissell, both of Harborcreek; and Ivan Bissell of Colden, NY; three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Irene) Wilson and Hazel Boyd, both of North East, and Mrs. Norman (Jean) Wheeler of Everett, Mich.; a brother, Merle Pierce of North East; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Interment was in North East Cemetery.
