He was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Pocatello, a son of Lorin Verle and Eva Marie Moss Hill. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army and went to Vietnam and was discharged in 1965. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for several construction companies in the area included Boise Cascade and R-Homes as well as in Island Park and Jackson. He also lived in Boise for seven years doing construction and was a private contractor for several years in the Pocatello area.
On Aug. 18, 1967, he married his first wife in Pocatello and they later divorced. He married his second wife in September 1985 and they also later divorced.
He greatly loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He also liked boxing and lettered in football and basketball at Pocatello High School.
Survivors include: a son; a brother; a sister; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Presentation of the flag for Lorin's honorable service will take place following the viewing.
