101, of Mayfield died Saturday at Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield. He was a past Magistrate for District 2 in Graves County for 20 years, Retired forman from Ky Highway Dept., and farmer. Mr. Canter is survived by three sons; Gerald W. Canter of Sedalia; Ben Canter of Lynnville and Keith Canter of Henderson Ky; daughter, Norma Sue Canter Douglas of Houston TX; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great- great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; wife, Estelle (Wheeler) Canter; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; grandson, Darrell Ben Canter; great-great-granddaughter, Tara Curry; parents were Albert and Ludie Bell Pitman Canter. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00AM Tuesday at Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is set from 5:00-8:00PM Monday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to High Point Baptist Church Building Fund.
