C. A. Meisner, Pioneer of Bismarck, Dies
C. A. Meisner, 411 Second street, died this morning at this home, following a lingering illness. He worked almost up to the last, despite his illness and his 80 years of age.
Mr. Meisner was an old settler in Bismarck. He was born in Buffalo, N. Y., and first came to this region in 1884,m when he spent three years in the employ of Dahl Bros. He then went to Stillwater, Minn., but returned in 1898 and resided here until his death. He was employed by C. M. Dahl since his return in '98.
He is survived by the widow, two sons and one daughter. They are John and James and Elenora, all of Bismarck, and a step son, Emil T. Bressler, of Bismarck.
By his first wife, who died several years ago, he had four sons, Joseph of Warwick, N. D., Harry of Superior, Wis., William of Virginia, Minn., and Edward of Cloquet, Minn.
The funeral will be at the Evangelical church on Seventh street Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Odd Fellows will be in charge of the services and Rev. C. F. Strutz will officiate.
