Obit for Anna Pierson Ransome Adams:

GONE TO REST
Yesterday morning, February 22nd, at 5 o'clock, the life Mrs. Anna Adams, the wife of Mr. James Adams the well-known farmer living in Selma, passed peacefully away. Her last severe illness was of short duration, but she had been suffering several years with consumption. About three days before her death she was taken with a very severe cold which settled upon her lungs and caused her death.
At the time of her death she was in her sixtieth year, she was a lady greatly beloved for her many noble qualities. She and Mr. Adams had been married twenty-eight years. She was previous to her marriage with Mr. Adams, a widow, having formerly been married to a Mr. Ransome, by whom she had two children, now grown. She had no children by her latter marriage. Her maiden name was Pierson, being the sister of Mr. James Pierson of Selma. She was a lady who had many warm friends, and will be sadly missed.
The funeral services of deceased will occur at the Presbyterian Church in Selma tomorrow morning; Rev. Criswell effecting. The remains will be interred in the Selma cemetery.
