LYONS - Mrs Jana Mae Smith, 76, died Sunday at the Golden Age Home, Denver after a long illness. Born May 27, 1901 in McPherson County, she was married to Lyle Smith April 26, 1922 in Hutchinson. She moved to Denver four years ago from Lyons, where she had spent most of her life.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and a life member of Eastern Star, all of Lyons.
Survivors include widow; daughter, Mrs Jean Plumb, Denver; son, Jack, Denver; sister, Mrs Myra Kauffman, Lyons; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 pm Wednesday at the church; the Rev Paul Johnson. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 pm Tuesday and until 11:30 am Wednesday at the Sillin-Crawford & Miller Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials to the El Jebel Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital, Denver.
