Mrs. E. S. Fayssoux Passed Away Yesterday--The Funeral.
The city was shocked yesterday to learn of the death of Jrs. Caroline Alice Fayssoux, wife of Mr. E. S. Faysssoux, which occurred at 12:30 p.m. at her home on West Fifth street. Mrs. Fayssoux was taken sick early in October, and had been gradually getting weaker. She had no special disease, but her strength just ebbed away. The little child for which she gave her life preceded its mother into the "Heavenly Home" last week. That the mother would soon follow was realized then but the re-union was not expected so soon.
Mrs. Fayssoux was a daughter of Mr. O. W. Davis, of Gastonia. She had lived in Charlotte for some years, and had made numbers of friends. She had a happy, joyous disposition, and was always cheerful and ready with a pleasant word to all. For years she had been a member of the Methodist Church, and was loyal in her church life as in her domestic circle. She was a devoted wife and mother. All of her married life was fiven in service to them. Her husband and seven children survive. Her parents, and sister, Mrs. J. T. Grist, and immediate family were with her when the end came.
The funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence by Rev. Dr. Byas, assisted by Rev. Dr. Preston.
