Edith Burlison
Edith Bullard Butler Burlison, age 94, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, in a Panama City Beach, Fla., hospital.
Mrs. Burlison was born and lived most of her life in Point Washington, Fla. She was the daughter of the late W.W. (Bud) Bullard and Mozelle Rodgers Bullard. She was Methodist by faith and a member of Point Washington Methodist Church. Mrs. Burlison was a former employee of Howell and Conner Real Estate and Insurance for over 30 years in Panama City.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burt Butler, and her second husband, Roy Burlison.
She is survived by two sons, Albert and wife Ollie Sue Saltman Butler of Point Washington, Fla., and Dr. Jack Kaye Burlison of New York City; brother, Wallace and wife Myrtle Ammons Bullard of Panama City; grandchildren, Teressa Deal and husband Jimmy of Blue Mountain Beach, Gary Brett of Perry, Fla., Bryan Brett of Ohio, Gid Godwin of Point Washington, and Gyle Parker of New Orleans; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Point Washington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Houseman officiating. Burial will follow in Point Washington Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday at Point Washington United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from noon to 1 p.m.
Asked to serve as pallbearers are Vann Butler III, Wilburn Bullard, Gid Godwin, Malcom Patterson, Otis Barrett and Gary Brett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Point Washington United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Clary-Godwin Funeral Home, DeFuniak Springs, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
