Ida C. Price Barrett, 66, died at 7:20 AM Sunday, Dec. 11, 1988, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She had been a patient there since Dec. 4, and in failing health for a month. Born Oct. 22, 1922, in Tippecanoe County, she had lived in Lafayette the past 16 years.
Mrs. Barrett had worked on the Purdue University campus in food service at Terry Courts, retiring fro there Oct. 4, 1987. She was a member of Women's Auxiliary of VFW; and American Legion, Eagles and Moose auxiliaries, all in Lafayette.
Surviving are seven sons, Robert Barrett, Dannie Barrett, both of Reynolds, Rex Barrett of Wolcott, Tom Barrett and Cy Barrett, both of Avon Park, FL, Curt Barrett of Lafayette, and Joe Barrett of Cyprus, CA; four daughters, Evelyn Barrett, Judy (Mrs. William) Wellman, both of Brookston, Lilly Barrett of Lafayette, and Donna (Mrs. Richard) Dexter of Punta Gorda, FL; a sister, Mildred Allen of Brookston; 30 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
