Born Aug 13, 1911, in felts Mills, daughter of Dewitt and Lelia Newton,\; she graduated from Felts Mills High School.
She married Harold D Borland on March 24, 1928, at Black River Methodist Church. Mr Borland died July 18, 1972.
Surviving are a son and his wife , Gerald and Norma, Carthage; a daughter and her husband, Shirley and Richard Tyner, Carthage; a sister-in-law, Marge Newton, Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Floyd and Theodore, a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Edwin Kubacki, and a infant son, Arthur, died before her.
