There, he was reared and educated. With his brothers, he went to Comanche County in 1874, where they ranched and later, moved to Taylor County. After a few years, they went to the Indian Territory. He moved to Canadian in 1889, and obtained land which became known as the ISAACS ranch, west of this city, at the mouth of Red Deer Creek.

He was married January 12, 1892 to Miss Mary BRAINARD, one of the early day public school teachers of Canadian and after whom the Mary B. ISAACS school is named. The Canadian State Bank of which Mr. ISAACS was President at the time of his death, was organized in November, 1906. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge having joined the A.F. & A.M. at Comanche in the early days. He was a prominent member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association.

Besides his wife, Mr. ISAACS is survived by three brothers, J. C. ISAACS of Snyder, John and Sam ISAACS of Canadian; one sister, Mrs. Bettie MEADOWS, San Angelo, and his brother-in-law, E. H. BRAINARD, also a number of nephews and nieces.
