A native of Ontario, Canada, Thibeault entered the Order of St Camillus in 1948.
After he was ordained as a priest in 1955, Thibeault served as chaplain at St Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee until 1960. He later served as chaplain at St Clare Hospital in Baraboo, where he established a drug and alcohol abuse program in 1971.
In 1971, Thibeault was named to the Office of Conciliation and Arbitration in the Diocese of Madison.
From 1975 to 1978, he served as police chief for the Town of Plain and was a member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
During the 1970s, Thibeault was pastor of St Camillus Parish at Durward's Glen in Baraboo.
In 1980, Thibeault transferred to St Camillus Health Care Center in Wauwatosa. He oversaw the facility's printing department for more than a decade and assisted in pastoral care.
There were no immediate survivors.
