THE EUGENE GUARD July 16, 1929:
Mrs. Jemima Higgins died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. E. Carpenter of College Crest, July 15, at the age of 88 years.
Jemima Frazier was born June 4, 1842 in the state of Indiana. She was married to Absolem H. Gibson in Iowa in 1864 and came to Oregon in 1880. Mr. Gibson died at Fall Creek, Ore., April 18, 1904.
In 1911, Mrs. Gibson was married to Isaac Higgins. He died at Eugene in 1920.
Mrs. Higgins leaves five children, Mrs. B. E. Carpenter, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Abbie D. Butchers, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. R. W. Bland, Redmond, Ore.; W. F. Gibson, Fall Creek, Ore. and George Gibson, Eugene, Ore. She also leaves 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, also one brother, George Frazier of Marcola, Ore.
The funeral will be held from the Fall Creek school house Tuesday, July 16, at 2 o'clock p.m. Rev Harry Benton will conduct the services and the Veatch funeral home will be in charge.

Jemima was a sister of Rhoda Frazier Higgins, who died in 1910. Rhoda was the wife of Isaac Higgins, the second husband of Jemima.
Jemima and Rhoda was the daughters of David and Rachel Frazier. In the 1870 census, their widowed father, David Frazier and daughter, Nancy and son, George lived with Absalom and Jemima Gibson at Benton, Holt, Missouri.
