U.S. Military Service Records, NARA, M508 Roll #134, National Archives, Washington, D.C. show: "Muster out 27 Aug 1864 at Clarksburg, WV. / Jan to Aug 1864 cards show present, and Jan/Feb show "in block house". / Jan to Dec 1863 show present, except for Mar-Apr shown at Petroleum and Cairo. Sept-Oct '62 shown at Petroleum. July-Aug '62 on detached duty near Elizabeth. Jan-Apr '62 on detached duty near Petroleum. Aug 27, 1861 to Oct 31, 1861 shown on detached guard duty at Petroleum. Muster in roll shows age 21, enrolled at Cairo, Ritchie Co., VA on 20 Aug 1861 for 3 years." Granville never married & had no issue.
