FAIR OAKS, CALIF.-- Mrs. Ida Marie Chandler Browning, 79, formerly of Ogden, died Friday at the home of her daughter in Fair Oaks after a short illness.

Mrs. Browning was born May 5, 1895, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Frank Andrew and Ida Constance Corbett Chandler.

She was married to Lorenzo Dow Browning on Oct. 28, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 20, 1962.

She was a member of the LDS Church, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Women's Legislative Council, and had been employed by the Utah State Legislature for many sessions. She was an officer in the Pi Kappa Alpha Mothers Club and Women's Republican Club.

Surviving are a son, Byram Dow Browning, Newport Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Evan D. (Ida Marie) Wimber, Fair Oaks, Calif.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Hal W. Chandler, Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs. George R. (Olga) Adair, Mesa Ariz.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
