Theresa M. Hurd, 84, of Toluca, Ill., died at 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon.
She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Toluca, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Pauline Vallaza Foster. She married John Althaus in Toluca. He died in 1960. She then married James R. Hurd on Aug. 17, 1979, in Toluca.
He survives along with two children, Janet (Kenneth) Fleeman of Peoria and Joseph (Cathy) Althaus of Toluca; three stepchildren, James F. Hurd of Ladd, George (Ann) Hurd of LaSalle and Sharon (Al) Kuhlman of Lacon; one brother, Edward Foster of Eureka; and one sister, Kay Marshall of Peoria. She has five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pauline Fleming.
Theresa was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Toluca.
She worked in the office at B.F. Goodrich in Henry for 18 years.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing and was an avid Cubs fan and loved spending time with her family.
Burial will be Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in La Rose.
