Ichabod wrote his will at Middletown on Jan. 18, 1694-5 and his estate inventory was taken on Apr. 4, 1695. Based on his recorded birth (Feb. 20, 1652/3) and death (Jan. 25, 1694/5), both in the Middletown, Conn. TRs, on the day Ichabod died he was 41 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of his Age) 42. The inscribed date of his death, Jan. 25, 1694 was accordingly to the old Julian calendar, written historically as Jan. 25, 1694/5 in the modern Gregorian calendar.
