Former Letter Carrier
End Comes to Willard A. Young after an Illness of a Year—Native of Indiana.
Willard A. Young, fifty years old formerly a letter carrier in St. Joseph, dies at 5:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 1024 south Seventeenth street, after a prolonged illness. He was a letter carrier for fifteen years, and resigned his position a year ago on account of failing health. He was born at Charlestown, Ind., and lived there until he was twenty-two years old, when he removed to Osborn, Mo., where he was married. He taught school at Osborn and also was editor of The Enterprise, a weekly paper, published there. The dead man is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. J. E. Thuma and Miss Bessie Young, both of St Joseph. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the home.
