My sisters-brother have not, but are very requested to, contributed to Gramma Dahl's bio. I know very little.
I remember seeing the scars she bore on her arm from a gasoline fire. I remember as a very little boy sitting in the breakfast nook in their home on Arlington Ave, LA, eating grapefruit with a special (grapefruit) spoon; i think i was impressed. i recall an outside staircase that went to the upper floor, but don't know if there was an internal staircase. As a teen i was glad and happy to mow her front lawn.
For too many years there was a riff in the family and communications was poor; most of us grandkids did not know their grandma and grandpa dahl
Sister Merrilee, "Aunt Nadine called me when Gramma Dahl died, and I called Mom & Dad and told them about relayed the message. I think when Dad said that nobody notified him of her death, he meant that Nadine didn't call him personally. I had been keeping in contact with Gramma Dahl through phone calls and letters until her death. I never understood the riff, but she was still my gramma, and I loved her."
