Edward W. Treick, age 101, died Monday, September 13, 2010, at his residence.
Edward was born on February 17, 1909, in the town of Newton, son of the late Ernst Henry and Hulda (Vriesen) Treick.
He married the former Erna Rodewald on June 13, 1936, in Newton. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2002. He was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward F. (Barbara) Treick , Tuscon, AZ; Rev. Donald W. (Myrene) Treick, Lookout Mountain, GA.; Rev. Paul H. (Karen) Treick, Modesto, CA; nine grandchildren, Deborah Treick, Modesto, CA; Mark Treick, Appleton, WI; Beth (Greg) Boon, Stanwood, WA; Kimberly (Jon) Kranz, Virginia Beach, VA; Rachel (Orlando) Cervantes, Indiana; Paula (William) DeBoard, Modesto, CA; Rev. Joel (Kate) Treick, Lookout Mountain, GA; Sara (Marlin) Viss, Santa Rosa, CA; Heather (John) Will, Alpharetta, GA; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Alfred Hardrath, Manitowoc; Ray Goeke, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Erna Rodewald; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Hildegarde (Walter) Siemers; Ruth Hardrath; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010, at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Trunk C, Newton. Rev. Kyle Sorensen will officiate. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.
