Funeral services for William Gleason, 92, of Devils Lake will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Burke Funeral Chapel, with Rev. LuVerne Mulvihill, of the Bethel Evangelical Free Church, officiating. Internment will be in the family plot of the Devils Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Gleason died late Sunday evening at the Mercy Hospital.

The son of John Gleason and [Mary] Jane Huss, he was born February 20, 1870 at Fremont, Ohio. He came to North Dakota at the age of 20, to the Finley community. On August 4, 1898, he was married to the former Georgia Lossing at Sherbrock [Hope], N.D. In 1912, they moved to Hamar and farmed there until 1948 when they came to Devils Lake and made their home with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Koss. Mrs. Gleason died February 18, 1952.

Mr. Gleason entered the Good Samaritan Home five years ago and lived there until becoming ill a month ago.

Surviving Mr. Gleason besides his daughter, Mrs. Koss (Velma), are his sons, John of Sharon, N.D.; George of Hamar; and James of Deering, N.D.; two daughters, Ellen Gleason of Chicago and Lynthia (Mrs. Orville DuBois) of South St. Paul, 30 grandchildren, and 80 great-grandchildren. His parents, a brother, and a sister preceeded him in death.

Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Chapel from 7:00 pm Tuesday until time of service Thursday.
