Father: John Brady
Mother: Mary Welch
Wife: Pearl Evangeline Randall
Child: Richard Randall Brady
New Stone placed in 2010.
Wife is in same cemetery.
Thomas was a lawyer and also did some work in real estate in the areas of Omaha Nebraska and Council Bluffs Iowa. He may well have first met his wife to be while he was "reading" the law in her father's law office. He was the first of those in the Brady family that studied so he could leave the farm behind - a job that most of the family before him had from Ireland.
His only child was my grandfather, Richard Randall Brady who followed up on his father's studying way and become a M.D.
Both he and his wife Pearl were visiting their son in Missoula Montana when Pearl died unexpectedly. It is said that Thomas would rock himself for days following the dying of his wife and died himself of being without her. All of this was not expected as the two were planning to return to Omaha Nebraska to their home after the visit. Following the death of Thomas, their son Richard had to go to Omaha and close out the family home. Thomas and Pearl are in the same cemetery but are not next to each other but across a path or road. But I am sure they are next to each other on the other side.
Thomas, I never knew you, but it was the road you and your son went that I wanted to follow.
Their death was so unexpected, and the times so bad, that only temporary stones were placed on their graves. This wasn't discovered for many years until family effort was taken to replace the temporary stones with permanent markers in 2010.
