WINAMAC - Services for Oley W. Doty, 77, of Route 1, who died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in his home, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Frain Mortuary, Burial will be in Reed Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until services Friday in the funeral home.
Mr. Doty retired from International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, Merrillville District 7. He was born Jan. 2, 1912, in Jasper County. On Sept 2, 1933, in Knox, he married Lucy Shellhart, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bill and Oscar, both of Winamac; two sisters, Ruth Archer of Winamac and Florence Perkins of Lafayette; and two brothers, Bill and Frank, both of Winamac. A daughter, Mary Catherine Doty, died in 1951. He was a 49-year member of Local 150.
