Edith M. Sims, 75, Dies
Mrs. Edith M. Sims, 75, died at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the county hospital. She had made her home with a son, Ralph E. Sims, at 1614 Forest drive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home by the Rev. William A. Amerson. The casket will be open after 4 o'clock this afternoon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery.
Mrs. Sims was born in Bartholomew county July 24, 1886, the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Bonnell Chrisman. She was married to Osborn Sims, who died in 1939.
She was a member of the Columbus Eastern Star and a charter member of the Flat Rock township Home Demonstration club.
She is survived by the son; two brothers, Everett Chrisman of Edinburg route 2 and Ray Chrisman of Columbus; three grandchildren, Larry Dean and Roger Sims and Mrs. Richard Hamilton; and three great-grandchildren, all of Columbus.
