She married Hal Rydalch Donkin 12 Nov 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was active in the DS Church, serving in many teaching positions, as well as Primary and Mutual, and serving two years as Relief Society President.
She was a talented singer and frequently blended her alto voice singing with her husband, with choirs, and Sweet Adelines.
The Donkins moved to Portland 20 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, three sons and six daughters, Russell, Hod and Wesley Donkin, Christy Noble, Diane Donkin, Wendy Donkin and Annette Zeller, all of Portland, Maralee Tanner, Long Beach, California, and Sandy Bond, Rangely, Colorado; a brother, Glenn Petersen, Northridge, California; two sisters, Leona Noble, Provo, Utah and Cleora Martindale, Burley, Idaho; and 24 grandchildren.
Arrangements are being made by the Mt Scott Funeral Home in Portland. Services will be held Monday, 28 Sep 1987, at the Mt Tabor LDS Chapel in Portland and interment will be in Williamette National Cemetery there.
