Joe was born September 1, 1929 in Eureka, Kansas the son of Earl and Dorothy McCombs Walford. He grew up in Eureka and attended school there. Joe served in the army during the Korean War. Joe was united in marriage to Evelyn Barrier on October 3, 1951 at the First Christian Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a construction worker for many years. Joe loved being around his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog Sandy. He loved to camp and play guitar and sing.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn; son J.L. and wife Linda Walford of Omaha Nebraska; daughters Kathy Jo and husband Robert Seaman of Lawrenceville, GA., Terrie and husband Edward Wilkey of Duluth, GA. And Stephanie Walford of Ducula, GA.; sister Alta and husband Roger Bruce of Grand Island Nebraska; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Kay and grandson Adam Walford, his parents and three brothers and one sister.
