Harold E. Warren, age 88, died in St. Charles, IL, on August 26th, 2010. He was born February 22nd, 1922, in Elmhurst as the fifth son of Alexander and Mary (Emery) Warren. Harold served as a US Army Staff Sergeant in Europe during World War II. A resident of St. Charles for 52 years, Harold is survived by his wife Ruth; daughters Mary-Louise (Roger) Pick and Carol (Jeff) Gering; son Scot; grandchildren Randall Pick, Sarah (Ivan) Mendez, Meagan Pick, and Allison, Stephanie, and Christopher Gering; great-grandson Norman Mendez; brother Robert (Lois); and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents, two infant brothers, and his brother Donald (Marian). A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1st, from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street (corner of Rt. 25 and Rt. 64) in St. Charles. Harold's Service will follow on Thursday, September 2nd, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Congregational Church of St. Charles. A private burial will be held Thursday afternoon at the Union Cemetery in St. Charles.
