LATER LIFE: Charles W Bradford married Achsah Maria Foster in Montville, Maine in 1868. They had seven children; five girls and two boys. Their eldest son, Percy Augustus, was my great grandfather.
Charles was a shoemaker, leather craftsman, organ dealer, and inventor. At the time of his death, he held several U.S. Patents. He was active in civic life, and in the organization of the skilled trades in Maine.
From a long-line of Bradford men, including William Bradford of Plymouth, Charles dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence.
