Andres, a lifelong resident of El Guique, passed away from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was predeceased by his father Tomas L. Borrego on 10 Sep 1988; and 2 brothers Emilio (22 Apr 1970)& Eugene (8 Apr 1978).
Andres was survived by sons Andres Jr. and Lucas; their mother Patricia; his mother Pablita G. Borrego, all of El Guique; 2 sisters Josina Clark of San Diego, California and Lourdes Atencio of El Duende; 2 brothers Roberto and Michael of El Guique; and many other relatives.
Funeral services were 1 Dec 1989 in St John the Baptist Church in San Juan Pueblo. Burial was in the San Rafael del Guique Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew Borrego, Greg Sanchez, Fernando Trujillo, Anthony Atencio, Larry Atencio, and Danny Atencio. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Borrego, Jacob Borrego, Dennis Mascareñas, and Dennis Martinez.
