Funeral services for Jaylon Lee "Mikey" Hershman, age 23 months of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2010 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother John Daniel and Brother Marvin Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 26 from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jaylon Lee Hershman was born October 20, 2008 in Tullahoma, TN the son of Jeremy Hershman and the late Stephanie Gonyea Hershman. Jaylon loved playing with his older brother, Jathan. They loved one another and called each other by the nickname "Brother". He loved playing with his toy tractors and swimming at his grandparents pool. Jaylon was affectionately known by family and close friends as "Mikey", a nickname he earned due to his love of eating coined after a television commercial for Life cereal.

In addition to his mother, Stephanie Hershman, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Jathan Wayne Hershman; paternal great-grandmother, Linnea Gonyea; paternal great-grandfather, Donald Mudd; maternal great-great grandparents, Ysidro and Delores Medrano and Martin and Dominga Garza; paternal great-grandmother, Jane Hershman; paternal great-grandfather, Myrtt Willard Hershman, Jr.; and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Madeline Hershman.

His survivors include his father, Jeremy Hershman of Manchester, TN; paternal grandparents, Terry and Diane Hershman of Manchester, TN; maternal grandparents, Rosa Linda Medrano and Michael Wayne Gonyea of Columbiaville, MI; maternal great-grandparents, Bonifacio Erlinda Medrano of TN; paternal great-grandparents Gary and Louise Gonyea of MI; paternal great-great grandmother, Leona Mudd also of MI; paternal great-grandparents, Hollis and Janie Gipson, Betty and Wayne Yates, and Clyde Milton Hershman, all of Manchester, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
