My Maternal GRANDMOTHER, Mary L. Scott was the daughter of James Madison Perry b.1841 and Margaret Jane Mangus b.1840. She was married to George Brown Scott on 02 Aug.1889. They had seven children: Margaret J; Wirt B; Effie Mae; Oliver R; William Virgil; Lena Ruth; (My Mother) and Samuel James.

She had twelve brothers and sisters.

Mary's passing was so peaceful, she was sitting on the porch and just laid her head over and went to sleep, in the arms of her Savior. Her wish was to go "Home".
