Janice Leah Jackson, 64, of Kingsland passed away March 25. She was born to Lenson J. and Clara (Busby) Jackson on Jan. 28, 1943 in Burnet. Ms. Jackson loved nature and living in Central Texas. She worked for convenient stores in the area and owned and operated a gas station in Brady. She loved to cook, golf, crochet, decorate cakes, and sew. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She is survived by her companion George Stern, of Kingsland; daughters, Martha Bennight and Sam of Kerrville, Elizabeth Covey of San Angelo; son, Martin L. Schilling of Burnet; eight grandchildren; four-great-grandchildren; aunt Norma Jean Schilling and husband Eddie of Burnet; and uncle Jack Busby and wife Mabel of Corpus Christi, A visitation was held March 28 at Putnam Funeral Home. Graveside services were held March 28 at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton.
