Grandma & Grandpa's wedding anniversary: November 5, 1951

My Maternal Grandma~ Age: 52 years

Margie left behind her husband, Raymond F. Bican (1932-1996), two daughters, Marjorie A. Cuiksa (1953-2008), Rae A. Bican and two grand-daughters, Khaylayne, and Ramona.

My grandma was the second daughter born to Melvin & Dorothy Snyder. She had 3 sisters, Phyllis, Dolores and Mary.

My grandma was an amazing woman. She was very intelligent and worked very hard. She and her husband started their own business by building an auto garage onto their property. It was common to see my grandmother working on the cars but uncommon for a woman to do that type of work in that era.

Her favorite color was blue and she enjoyed making her own clothes along with her daughters clothes. She loved Florida and spent many of the Ohio winters where it was warm and sunny! One of her favorite songs was, 'Key Largo'.

My mom was very close with her parents, therefore, we were very close to our grandparents. We have many wonderful memories of grandma, for example, every Sunday we would all go to a restaurant as a family. One of the places we would go had a live polka band which performed near a small dance floor. My sister and I would always dance especially when the band played the "Chicken Dance"!

My grandma passed away when she was only 52 years old from emphysema. She is missed, loved and thought of everyday.
