In 1822 three brothers and two sisters, Alexander, Thomas, Enoch, Nancy and Emily Brown came here from Prince William County, VA and settled in the Sixth District of Williamson Co. TN. They were children of Joseph and Catherine Browne but dropped the "e" from their name after leaving Vrginia.
Alexander the oldest of the five, married Charlotte Claud in 1828. Alexander went by the nickname
Sandy. They were parents of ten children.
