Frederick Ivan Gardner, 90, of 715 N. Fourth St. died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at his residence. Born Oct. 20, 1906, in Kempton to John Edward and Mary McCarthy Gardner, he married Mary T. Gammon on March 6, 1942, in Chillicothe. She died Feb. 11, 1993. Six brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, John of Chillicothe, Kenneth of Houston and Jim of Naperville; one daughter, Barbara Tomse of DeLand, Fla.; one sister, Mildred of Kempton; and six grandchildren.
