VIRGINIA BEACH - Evelyn Fluker Consolvo Pritchard Drumwright, 88, passed away July 11, 2007. She was the daughter of the late William E. and "Mammie" Marie Richard Fluker. Evelyn joined Eastminster Presbyterian Church at the age of 9. She had remained a member there throughout her lifetime, where she enjoyed participating in the choir and many areas of the church. Evelyn was an advocate and helped many with literacy. She also enjoyed traveling, antiquing and bridge playing. Evelyn was a member of several organizations, some including garden clubs and women's clubs. She was instrumental in helping her husband with Pritchard's Exxon for 30 years. Evelyn always focused on the good and treated everyone equally. She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Capt. Frederic E. Consolvo Jr., 29th Division, 111th Field Artillery, Battery "B", Command, KIA, buried in St. James, France; husband and special partner, Francis Edward Pritchard Sr.; husband, Edward Alton Drumwright; and brother, William E. Fluker Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Frederic E. Consolvo III, Alice Marie Consolvo, Francis E. Pritchard Jr. and his wife Deborah, John W. Pritchard and his wife Sandi, Ronald Drumwright and Nancy D. Bailey; sister, Frances Anderson and her husband Curtis; grandchildren, Beth Consolvo Rushin, Frederic E. Consolvo IV and his wife Alice Ann, Stephen J. Barcik III and his wife Brandy Rainey, Stephanie B. Holzbaur and her husband Steven A., Elisabeth McCormick and her husband Chris, Kris Pritchard, Dustin Pritchard, Ryan Pritchard, Courtney Pritchard and Karlie Pritchard; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. July 13 in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A service will be held at 11 a.m. today in Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3229 Macdonald Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464, officiated by the Rev. David Zavadil with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
