ADA - Services for Mrs. Opal E. Cheney, 62, wife of Harley E. Cheney, Ada, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church here, the Rev. Roy C. Hoch officiating. Burial will be in Ada Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cheney died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday in Lima Memorial Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage after a three-day illness.
A native of Ada, she was married in 1912 to Harley Cheney who survives. Besides her husband, surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Donna Long, St. Marys; Mrs. Margaret Smith, Harrod; Mrs. Irene Shields, Ada; Miss Virginia Cheney, at home; four sons, Harvey, Merle and William, Ada; Earl, Rockport; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Audrey Weaver, Lima.
The body will remain in the Lantz Funeral Home, Ada, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday, until 2 p.m. Thursday, when the body will be removed to the church to await services.
