Mr. Charles R. Allen (formerly of Ozark) died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Henry County Health & Rehab in Abbe-ville, Alabama. He was 93. Graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Harry Circle officiating. Interment to follow under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010. Mr. Allen was born in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late Charles A. and Orpha May Robinson Allen. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bessie Coleman Allen, in 2003; one grandson, Joel Allen; as well as all of his siblings. Survivors include four sons: Charles Coleman Allen and wife, Michele Mar-tina, of Washington; Robert Arthur Allen of Ozark; Gary Allen of Ozark; and Edward Allen of Washington; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, (334) 774-4551, is in charge of arrangements.
