May 6, 1941 -- September 21, 2010 Dale Dyess, 69, of Bryan, passed away September 21, 2010, at Seton Medical Center in Austin. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Officiating will be the Reverend Henry Stovall. Dale was born May 6, 1941, in Austin, Texas, to Noble and Doris Dyess. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid ham radio operator; his call sign was WA5GVE. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Dyess; and brother, Terry Dyess. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Dora Dyess of Bryan; sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Patricia Dyess of Apple Valley, Calif., Darryl and Belinda Dyess of Bryan and Harlan Dyess of Bryan; brothers, Danna Dyess of Bryan, David Dyess of Nacogdoches, Timmy Dyess of Nacogdoches, and Stephen Dyess of New Caney; sister, Deborah Balch of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Jennifer, Laryn and Kyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
